Dave Haines
EVP of Claims, DMC Insurance
Dave explored how increased attorney representation, referrals, and desensitization to large awards affects risk and volatility. He also discussed amplifiers that significantly increase loss costs. Dave highlighted real world case studies and reinforced best-in-class practices that reduce the cost of risk.
Stephen J. Marshall
Principal, Franklin & Prokopik, P.C.
Steve presented a bird’s eye view of the evolving courtroom. He highlighted loosened safety compliance and commonalities across his areas of practice, which included key accelerants for motor carriers, brokerage, and warehouse liability. He also discussed the role of the employer with new age and more transient employees, as well as different strategies he can deploy with an entirely defensible case and client versus one that may get caught in the crosshairs.
Pete Dannecker
VP of Risk and Integrated Resources, A. Duie Pyle, Inc.
Pete discussed how to systematically identify, communicate about, and manage down risk. He explored making the process the primary focus for safety improvement, as opposed to
focusing on the documentation or the resources.
