DMC had a blast hosting a Tabletop Football “kicking” competition at the 2020 Truckload Carriers Association’s Annual Convention in Kissimmee, Florida this past March. We invited convention attendees and industry partners to step up to the table to see how many footballs they could flick through the field goal within 30 seconds. The top 10 highest scorers were then invited back for the Finale Tournament where they had the opportunity to go head-to-head against football legend and DMC spokesperson, Adam Vinatieri.
Adam has built his career on precision execution. His longevity and consistency have made him the most accurate kicker of all time. Every day, DMC deploys our time-tested playbook with precision to serve our insureds and go above and beyond to meet their needs. Like Adam, DMC works relentlessly to be the best in our profession and consistently deliver unprecedented results. In this competition, we asked contestants to join DMC to see if they had the ability and precision and “go the distance” against Adam Vinatieri.
Congratulations to the winners of our tabletop football challenge Timothy Hall, Mike Pawlowski and Chris Vogel. Competition was fierce, but they rose to the challenge and took on Adam Vinatieri, the greatest kicker of all time! Tim Hall ended up taking first place where he was rewarded with an authentic, signed Adam Vinatieri jersey, Apple Airpods Pro, a custom 1st place DMC trophy, and a spot in our final, charity round!
We were extremely impressed by both Tim and Adam who stepped it into high-gear and achieved the two best scores of the convention for the charity round. Cumulatively, they made 25 field goals which resulted in $2,500 being donated to each of the charities represented. Some photos of the event can be seen below:
“DMC pledged to donate $100 for every field goal made in the final, charity round of the Tabletop Football Challenge. As a result of our contest, we were able to donate $2,500 each to Wreaths Across America and the Arthritis Foundation for Juvenile Arthritis.”
DMC Community Support
The two charities DCM chose are both wonderful organizations that directly make an impact on those they serve. Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 2,100 locations across the United States, at sea and abroad. Each year with the help of hundreds of volunteer trucking companies, Wreaths Across America is able to honor our Nation’s fallen heroes. The trucks are responsible for carrying thousands of Veteran’s Wreaths to a growing number of participating cemeteries across the United States, and the money DMC contributed will go directly to aiding their efforts. If interested in volunteering or donating, please visit their website here.
The Arthritis Foundation for Juvenile Arthritis is a favorite charity of Adam Vinatieri. The Arthritis Foundation helps to educate and aide the over 300,000 children in the US that suffer from juvenile arthritis. Adam has been a long-time advocate for juvenile arthritis and the donated $2,500 went directly to the Adam Vinateri Juvenille Arthritis Education Day Camp. It is an annual event for families with children suffering from juvenile arthritis in Indiana that consists of educational programming for parents/caregivers and educational/fun activities for the kids. If interested in attending or volunteering for this event or making a donation, please read more information here.
Thank you to all the convention attendees who participated in or came by to support our first-ever Tabletop Football Challenge. We had such a great time meeting and interacting with our fellow trucking-industry attendees, and we look forward to seeing you all again at future events!
